A pale material can feel quite different when daylight passes through it. Compare its appearance, privacy and transparency as well as its colour against the wall. Where a particular fire-performance specification is required, that needs to be checked for the actual fabric selected.

The way the blind opens matters too. Roman folds, vertical louvres and panel stacks occupy different parts of the opening; patterned fabrics may also need a planned layout across neighbouring windows. We allow for these details before manufacture.
