01 / Planning your project
Before the initial estimate.
Give us the full postcode and building number or name, the approximate number of products and the rooms involved. Explain the result you want: privacy, less glare, room darkening or shade for an outdoor space.
A photograph of the complete opening helps more than a close-up of the glass alone. Include the surrounding wall or ceiling and any radiator, furniture or door that affects access. If you have approximate dimensions, label them as approximate and say what they measure.
02 / Planning your project
Photographs that answer practical questions.
For a bay, show the whole bay and each corner. For a framed door blind, include the glazing bead and handle. For a roof window, include the model code if it can be read safely. For an exterior product, show the proposed mounting area and the surrounding structure.
The form accepts up to five images. Do not climb or dismantle anything to obtain a photograph. Documents can be shown as images of plans; if a file needs a different format, email the team and explain what you would like to send.
03 / Planning your project
Prepare for the visit.
Make the windows and working area accessible, and tell us about parking restrictions, building access, pets, children or site procedures. Let us know if decoration, tiling, a new kitchen or window replacement is still planned.
Think about who will approve colours and the specification. We discuss samples, operation, fixing positions and any separate electrical or building work. Surveys are usually free; where a charge applies, the £150 including VAT fee is agreed before booking and credited against an order that proceeds.
04 / Planning your project
After the survey.
Review the written quotation and specification carefully. Check product names, colours, controls, quantities and the scope of fitting rather than relying on a remembered conversation. Ask us to clarify any item before approval.
The team confirms the payment schedule and estimated lead time with your order. An enquiry or a survey request does not itself book an installation date.
