01 / Planning your project
Start with the existing system.
For a fabric, louvre or component replacement, send the original order reference and photographs of the mechanism as well as the visible treatment. Size, age and system compatibility determine which replacement parts can be considered.
We do not assume a new fabric will work on every tube, track or motor. The condition of the retained parts needs to justify using them again, and parts may no longer be available for some older products.
02 / Planning your project
Plan the changeover before decoration.
Old brackets can leave holes or marks when removed. A new product may sit in a different position and will not necessarily cover the old fixing points. Tell us if you are decorating so the sequence can be planned.
Making good, repainting and other building work are not automatically included in blind fitting. We identify the agreed removal and installation work in the quotation and explain any separate preparation required.
03 / Planning your project
Agree what happens to the old products.
Let us know whether you want to retain the removed blinds or arrange disposal. For a larger project, quantities, access and the type of materials affect what is involved.
Repairs and replacement components are limited to AdamsBlinds-supplied products. Removing another supplier’s old blinds as part of an agreed complete replacement is a different service and can be discussed.
