L SkyLight Blinds With Hidden Wires

The L SkyLight is a manually operated, lightweight, cellular fabric, pleated blind. Essentially, it’s a pleated blind with side channels and header/footer profile to create a frame.
It is very simplistic in design, and being that the frame is only 30mm deep, you can install it into tight spaces.

1 - What are the features of the L SkyLight blind?

The main feature of this blind that in contrast to the tensioned blinds the wires are not visible.

There are 2 product types: Type A and Type B

Type A - Fixed Corner Caps

The blind has a ‘floating rail’ which carries the fabric across the opening.
You’ll notice that there are no visible guide wires when the blind is open.
The ergonomic handle is built into the floating rail so that notice protrudes past the ‘face’ of the side channel profiles.
The main feature of the ‘Type A’ SkyLight is that the frame corner piece is one part. That is, the plastic cover you see is actually part of the corner component and is not removable.

The frame is small enough to fit into tight spaces such as behind a plantation shutter.

Type B - Removable Corner Caps

The Type B has a removable corner cover. You’ll notice that there is a hole in the corner joint which can be used for ‘Face Fixing’ the blind in addition to/instead of side fixing.

With the cover cap fitted, it looks almost exactly the same as the Type A blind.
Important: Note that the corners are clear plastic and will be visible if this blind is side fixed (see photo below).

Product options

Configuration: Single Stack - Standard blind with one fabric, drawing one way only or Double Stack - Two fabric on one blind allowing for Day/Night effect. The Double Fabric configuration allows you to choose two fabrics on the blind. Each fabric is stacked at either end of the blind, and can be drawn across independently.
System Type: Type A (fixed corner caps) or Type B (removable corner caps)
Frame colour: White, Dark Grey, Coffee
Accessories: Draw pole and Blockout Brushes

Blockout Brushes

For optimum blockout effect, you can use a brush pile that simply sticks to the edge of the frame.

There is space to fit the brush on both the front and the back edges of the side channel, however, fitting it to the front edge should be sufficient to reduce any light seepage.

5mt rolls are available to order as an extra when ordering L SkyLight.

Usage

It can be best used in the following applications:

As a roof lantern/conservatory blind
As a side window blind
As a blackout blind behind plantation shutters
As a blackout blind within plantation shutter frames (perfect for retro-fitting)

Operation

Operation for blinds which are out of reach are by an operation drawpole/hook. The pole can be adjusted to a length of 1mt to 1.68mt.
