Parts of the product
Installation using an Aluminium Shelf Kit
A multi-blind installation should be done using a shelf on which you should sit the blinds. The shelf can be any size you like. A 25mm x 25mm aluminium angle can supplied, and can be specifed at the point of order. We will also supply the required self-drilling screws to join the side rails together.
When using a shelf, you should make sure that you have enough space above the installation to be able to lift the blinds in and over the lip of the shelf.
Operation
- motorised XL RoofLight Blinds
- battery operated
- solar powerered
Depending on which power option you’ve chosen you’ll need to either connect the blind to 240v, or fit the solar panel and connect it to the blind. If fitting a solar panel, simply position it somewhere where it will catch the light. Once the battery is fully charged, you can expect power to last up to four months. The solar panel simply needs to trickle charge the battery over time.
We also have a manual version! It’s called SkyLight.

This style comes in either a 9 channel or 99 channel version

Hardware Access Panels
The standard form of XL RoofLight is to have the access panels showing down towards the room. It makes setup and future maintenance easier. Alternatively, you can ahve the access panels facing upwards. This makes the blind's finish smoother, but may make future maintenance more difficult.
Fabric is cellular (double walled), and typically an opaque (or blackout) standard. The most popular colour is white, since most ceiling are white.
Our Blackout fabrics are foil lined for maximum insulation and heat retention/reflection. These are the lowest cost fabrics we sell. We also offer both blackout and translucent fabrics.
We are able to fit the XL RoofLight blind with a translucent fabric, however it must be of the cellular type.
Profile colours available are white, dark grey and dark coffee colours.
