XL RoofLight Blinds
XL RoofLight Blinds are overhead pleated roof blind systems, specifically designed for lantern windows or any other rectangular ceiling space.
With XL RoofLight Blinds, you can dampen or completely block out sunlight, protect your privacy, limit outside noise and reduce heat loss on cold days.

XL RoofLight runs with a strong belt system so there’s no friction on cords. We aslo have a manual version! It’s called SkyLight and can be found here.

Features

Product types

Standard Specification XL RoofLight and Custom Specification XL RoofLight

Essentially, the product is the same, however, the main difference is that the standard spec is restricted to our own motors and fabrics, and a slightly reduced maximum size

PRO's
  • No visible guide wires when retracted. XL RoofLight has a ‘belt track’ system in the side channels. The belts in each side channel are synchronised to ensure the float bar runs straight every time. The belt track system removes the needs for tension.
  • Runs with a strong belt system so there’s no friction on cords
  • Almost blackout when used in a ceiling void
  • Low cost compared to other roller blind systems
  • Simple side fixing system
  • Battery power with solar also available

Installation using an Aluminium Shelf Kit

A multi-blind installation should be done using a shelf on which you should sit the blinds. The shelf can be any size you like. A 25mm x 25mm aluminium angle can supplied, and can be specifed at the point of order. We will also supply the required self-drilling screws to join the side rails together.
When using a shelf, you should make sure that you have enough space above the installation to be able to lift the blinds in and over the lip of the shelf.

Operation
  • motorised XL RoofLight Blinds
  • battery operated
  • solar powerered
Depending on which power option you’ve chosen you’ll need to either connect the blind to 240v, or fit the solar panel and connect it to the blind. If fitting a solar panel, simply position it somewhere where it will catch the light. Once the battery is fully charged, you can expect power to last up to four months. The solar panel simply needs to trickle charge the battery over time.

We also have a manual version! It’s called SkyLight.

Fabric samples

Fabric is cellular (double walled), and typically an opaque (or blackout) standard. The most popular colour is white, since most ceiling are white.

Our Blackout fabrics are foil lined for maximum insulation and heat retention/reflection. These are the lowest cost fabrics we sell. We also offer both blackout and translucent fabrics.

We are able to fit the XL RoofLight blind with a translucent fabric, however it must be of the cellular type.

Profile colours available are white, dark grey and dark coffee colours.
