Temporary Blinds - while waiting for the real blinds being manufactured
Temporary Blinds are instant window blinds that you can use immediately while waiting for the real blinds being manufactured. They are also called: Paper Blinds, Temporary Paper Blinds, Quick Blinds etc.

Have you lately moved into a new place and searching out ideas for décor? In all probability the first thing that comes to mind is the fact that you need new window coverings. However, it takes some time to think about the options before making a final decision. This isn’t an issue anymore as we would like to offer you our Temporary Blinds as instant window blinds that you can use immediately, before making any final commitment and choosing the right type of window treatments for your home or whilst waiting for a permanent window covering.

Temporary Window Blinds are a quick fix instant paper window blinds. Temporary Window blinds are a cheap and simple way to cover your windows temporarily.

Simply cut to size, peel back the adhesive backing and stick!

Temporary Window Blinds now come in BLACK or WHITE, with alcohol wipes for degreasing the sticking surface before installation, and thumb tacks for helping to hold the blinds up for less sticky surfaces such as wood and plasterboard.

Temporary Blinds features:

  • Perfect for covering any size window
  • Blinds can be overlapped to cover wider windows
  • ...or joined to make longer drops for those taller windows
Comes in 2 colours:
  • WHITE Temporary blinds are perfect for giving privacy and reducing the overall glare from a window. Light is filtered through gently without any colour tinting due to the pure white colours.
  • BLACK Temporary blinds are perfect for reducing the light in bedrooms or any room, and are particularly handy for reducing the glare in TV rooms. No light will pass through the blind (you may still have gaps at the sides depending on how well you cover the window).
  • Quick to install;
  • Fits anywhere;
  • 100% recyclable;
  • Blocks out the light;
  • Provides privacy;

How to install Temporary Blinds?

Our Temporary Blinds are easy to install as it takes only a few minutes:

STEP 1 - Cut the blind size out, by using a utility knife/sharp scissor, according to the window size;

STEP 2 - Before attaching it, make sure that the surface is clean. Use provided alcohol wipes provided;

STEP 3 - Peel the backing from the adhesive tape and attach them with the sticky part on the upper part of the window.

In more details:

Before doing anything, you’ll want to consider the cutting position and how the blinds will overlaps. Line the blinds up on the sill as shown in the photo.

Temporary Window Blinds Installation

This is important
Ideally, we recommend the blinds have. 5cm (2 inch) overlap. If working with a 5cm overlap, you’ll mark each blind 2.5cm from the centre position (or the ‘centre of the join’). Take the time to double check your marks, and be sure to look at the photos below to see what you should end up with.
Temporary Window Blinds Installation

When you’ve double checked the cutting positions, you’ll be ready to cut the blinds.
Instead of trying to cut the whole blind in one stack, we recommend that you open the full into two.
Temporary Window Blinds Installation

If everything has gone according to plan, you should have a set-up similar to the one in the photo.
Position the blinds as shown and visualise where those blinds will be fitted.

Temporary Window Blinds Installation

Use the alcohol wipes that were included in the pack to clean the surface where you will be sticking the blinds. The idea of this step is to de-grease the surface so that you get a good bond to the window. Ideally, you’ll be fitting the blinds to PVC or Glass. Aluminium is okay too, but sometimes the powder coat paint is very shiny stops the tape bonding well. In this case you can use two lines of sticky tape.
Temporary Window Blinds Installation

Depending on whether you think you need one line of tape or two, carefully peel back the backing paper of the sticky tapes.
At this point, the blinds will be ‘sticky’, so be careful and ensure the tape doesn’t come into contact with anything that you don’t want it to stick to!
Temporary Window Blinds Installation

Offer the blind up to the fitting position. If you are fitting inside a recess (up against a wall), then before you actually stick the blind fully, let the blind drop down the window and just check how well the blind sits against the side wall.
When you’re happy with the position, you can go ahead and stick the first blind.
Temporary Window Blinds Installation

Do the same with the second blind.
Try to work left to right. Be careful with the sticky tape of the second blind coming into contact with the paper of the first blind, until you’re ready to commit to that fitting position.
Temporary Window Blinds Installation

Once you’ve made the installation, you can clip the blind up to the desired height. Use one clip at the join position, it will hold the blind much neater and make everything look tidy.
