Product overview
About this system
R56 is designed for an overhead installation where a conventional hanging roller cannot work. A sprung fabric barrel and a separate drive arrangement use draw tapes to move the bottom bar across the opening. The detachable crank provides manual control without needing to reach the blind itself.
The system must be assessed against the roof opening, its angle and the available fixing points. It is an open roller arrangement, so consider a cassette or dedicated blackout unit if the project needs enclosed fabric edges or more controlled light exclusion.
Assess the whole recess
Rooflights can have stepped reveals, ventilation hardware and limited space at the ends. A plan and photographs help us check where the fabric barrel, drive assembly and guides can sit without obstructing the window.
Keep future access in mind
The chosen arrangement should allow the blind to be adjusted and serviced after installation. Tell us about access restrictions, fragile finishes or rooms that cannot easily be closed during maintenance.
