Who handles your information

Bexmon Limited, trading as AdamsBlinds.co.uk, is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. Our company number is 07703609 and our registered office is 292 Wake Green Road, Birmingham, B13 9QP, United Kingdom. The registered office does not accept customer visits.

What an enquiry contains

The form collects your name or company name, email address, telephone number, postcode, building details, product interest, approximate quantity, project type, service requirements, contact preference and message. You may also attach photographs or images of plans.

We receive the page or product that prompted the enquiry and a reference identifying the submission. Marked fields are required to process the form. You can contact us directly by email, telephone or WhatsApp instead.

Photographs are optional. Send only the product, window or project details needed for the enquiry, and avoid including unnecessary information about other people. Please do not submit payment-card details, passwords or confidential personal records.

Why we use the information

We use enquiry details to identify the required product or part, answer questions, prepare a quotation, assess installation requirements and arrange agreed work. For an individual customer, the legal basis is taking steps at your request before a contract and carrying out that contract. For contacts acting for an organisation, we also rely on our legitimate interest in handling business enquiries and projects.

Relevant correspondence supports customer service, complaints and the administration of an order. We retain records required for accounting and other legal duties. Our legitimate interests also include protecting the website from misuse and maintaining a reliable record of the information agreed for a project.

Optional analytics is used only where it has been enabled for this section and you have allowed it. An enquiry does not sign you up to marketing emails. We do not use this form to make decisions by automated processing that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.

Email, photographs and access to your enquiry

The completed form sends your enquiry and accepted image attachments to info@adamsblinds.co.uk through our hosting service. A separate acknowledgement goes to the email address you give us, including when your preferred follow-up method is telephone or WhatsApp. Images are not attached to that acknowledgement.

Images are processed temporarily for the submission. This section does not publish uploads or create a separate customer database; the emailed copies become part of our enquiry correspondence.

Authorised team members and the hosting, email and IT providers needed to operate the service may handle the information. Relevant project details may also be shared with the supplier, fitter or contractor needed to assess or fulfil your request. We do not sell enquiry details.

Form security and technical records

The form uses a session cookie, a maths question, anti-forgery checks and submission limits. Protected temporary records use hashed identifiers to help prevent repeated or automated submissions. The hosting service may keep access and error logs containing IP addresses and request information for operation and security.

Product photographs and downloadable documents are hosted within this section. Following a link inside a document or to another website takes you to that service and its own privacy arrangements.

How long we keep information

Enquiry correspondence is kept for as long as it is needed to deal with the request, follow up agreed work and resolve related questions. If an enquiry becomes an order, relevant records may be retained for accounting, guarantees, complaints and legal requirements.

The retention period depends on whether the enquiry proceeds, the type and duration of the work, any unresolved issue and applicable record-keeping duties. Information is reviewed and removed when it is no longer needed. Temporary security records are periodically cleared. Contact us if you want to ask about the records relating to your enquiry.

Analytics, WhatsApp and other services

If Google Analytics is enabled for YD Collection, its code is held back until you allow analytics in the cookie controls. Essential form functions remain available without that choice. Use Cookie preferences in the footer to change it.

Choosing a WhatsApp link or asking us to contact you through WhatsApp uses that service to handle the communication. External websites, including any links inside technical documents, have their own privacy policies. This section does not automatically embed third-party video players.

Optional external services may process information outside the UK. Their policies describe that processing. Where a provider acts on our behalf, applicable UK transfer requirements must be met; you can contact us for information about the safeguards relevant to your enquiry.

Your right to object

You may object to our use of your personal information where we rely on legitimate interests. Email info@adamsblinds.co.uk and explain which use you object to so we can assess the request and respond.

Your other information rights

Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for access to your information, correction of inaccurate details, erasure, restriction of processing or transfer of information. Where consent is the legal basis, you may withdraw it without affecting processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

Give us enough information to locate the relevant enquiry. We may need proportionate evidence of identity. Some rights have exceptions, which we will explain if they apply.

You may raise a concern with us or complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK data protection regulator. This notice will be updated if the way the section handles personal information changes.
