About this system
VL64 provides a crank alternative to chain-operated vertical blinds. Turning the handle operates both louvre tilt and draw through the system’s combined mechanism. The rail uses wheeled carriers and an aluminium spindle to move the louvres along the opening.
It is useful to assess where manual operation is required but a hanging control chain is undesirable. A fixed crank is the standard arrangement, with a detachable option available where the handle should be removed between uses.
Choose the handle arrangement
Consider who will use the blind and whether the handle should remain permanently available. Height, furniture and the reveal depth influence whether the crank can be turned comfortably.
Check the fabric stack
When drawn open, the louvres occupy part of the window width. We will consider the most suitable draw arrangement and ensure there is space for the louvres to rotate without catching the glazing or surrounding fittings.
