About this system
VL30 lets you rotate the louvres for daylight and privacy, then draw them aside when the glazing should be clear. A metal chain controls the angle and a separate cord traverses the fabric, with wheeled carriers running inside a white aluminium rail.
It can be a useful choice for broad windows because the fabric is divided into individual louvres. Choose the fabric for glare, privacy and cleaning needs, and decide where the louvres should stack so they do not obstruct an important part of the opening.
Choose the stack position
A door, frequently opened sash or clear view may determine which side should hold the louvres when open. We check that arrangement along with clearance from handles, radiators and furniture.
Think about maintenance
Individual louvres and carrier hooks can be useful when planning future upkeep. For an existing blind, identify the rail and hook arrangement before ordering replacements; similar-looking vertical systems do not necessarily use interchangeable parts.
