About this system
Channel side guides provide a more enclosed edge detail than wire guides. Retaining lugs at the ends of the teardrop bottom bar travel within aluminium profiles, helping the bar remain aligned as the blind is raised and lowered.
They are useful where unwanted movement is an issue and a channelled appearance is preferred. They can also reduce some edge light compared with wire guides, but they should not be confused with a complete blackout cassette or a Tracker fabric-retaining assembly.
Allow for the channel width
The reveal needs enough clear, continuous space for both channels. Handles, stepped trims and an opening sash may limit where they can be fitted. We check these details before recommending the arrangement.
Identify an existing blind accurately
When adding guides to an installed blind, send photographs of the bottom-bar ends, brackets and fabric position. The correct retaining lugs and profile must be selected together; appearance alone is not enough to establish compatibility.
