About this system
C40 adds side channels to a chain-operated cassette roller. The headbox covers the roller, and the channels guide the fabric along the reveals. With an appropriate fabric, this provides more controlled shading than a freely hanging roller at the same window.
The system is available in several headbox sizes, with square or rounded profiles. Standard fabric-retaining details can be supplemented by the optional Tracker arrangement where the application calls for a more securely retained edge.
Define the darkness requirement
A blackout fabric and channels can substantially reduce unwanted light, but the result also depends on the sill, reveals and perimeter fitting. For a specialist room with a defined blackout requirement, compare the dedicated C74 or C75 units.
Check the reveals
Side channels need continuous fixing surfaces and clearance from handles and opening parts. An uneven recess may require preparation or an alternative fixing arrangement; photographs help us identify this before the survey.
